You’ve heard it all before – the new year resolutions, the promises to get in shape. We’ve all fallen victim to waiting for the future in order to instill change or work on ourselves. 

But how about starting a little early this year? There’s no time like the present, after all, and wouldn’t be nice to look good in all those holiday photos anyway!?

So here are three tips to get into the perfect shape this fall – at Club CDL, of course!


  • Try one of our amazing Fall Fitness Classes

Members at Club CDL have access to a wide variety of free group fitness classes. New on the schedule this fall? Try Body Shaping with Terri on Mondays, or let her get you going with her Circuit Challenge class on Wednesdays. Terri also offers a H.I.I.T class on Friday mornings.

Also new is the 60-Second Circuit Class with Bobby on Mondays, his CDL Bootcamp on Wednesdays and his H.I.I.T Resistance Training Class on Thursdays. 

If you want to get a little serene, than Tracy offers two new Yoga Flow Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. Leigha is back with her Athletic Power Yoga on Tuesday, and a brand-new Core & Stretch class on Fridays. 

George is back with his classic classes like Trampoline, Cross Training, Functional Training and High Octane. Jack, Geneviève and Angelica offer their spinning classes, Dimitra’s Tuesday Zumba Class is back and Geneviève also offers her Kettle Bell, TRX and Core class on Wednesdays!

Any of these classes can help you tone your body, lose weight or stay in shape. And they’re all FREE!



  • Think Outside the Box

Sure, fitness classes are a great way to shape up this fall, but staying active is just as important. A great game of Tennis or Squash can be just as effective in keeping you in shape than a workout at the gym. 

A sport like Pickleball may sound like it’s all fun and games but play a few games and you’ll be sweating out those calories in no time!

Our spacious gym has the right equipment to get you on track, but working out is not the only activity to get you to where you want to go. Club CDL has a wide variety of activities so branch out and take full advantage of what we offer!

Another great activity that is offered that perhaps many of you don’t realize is Karate. Let Sensei George Ohan take good care of you and learn the basics of this ancient sport. It is a great family activity or you can go solo. Either way, it is one heck of a workout and will get you in great shape in no time!



  • Take care of your Health & Wellness

While we work out our bodies, we mustn’t forget to take good care of our mind and spirit as well! Fall is the perfect time to rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit right before the holidays kick in. Visit our Health & Wellness Centre and take advantage of what we have to offer.

A massage after a good workout? You deserve it, and it is proven to have wonderful effects on your body. Learn how to make that perfect smoothie or a great meal plan by visiting our Naturopath, Nataly Spadavecchia. 

It is important to treat yourself not only with exercise but with other activities as well. Take care of your health so you may feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. 

Remember that it can take up to four weeks for your body to adjust to major changes. It is important to stay consistent and motivated during that time.
